Director of the National Security Agency and head of U.S. Cyber Command Admiral Michael Rogers commented yesterday that he believes China and others have the ability to launch a cyber-attack on the U.S. power grid.
Adm. Rogers called the threat “urgent,” and advised the U.S. take immediate action to protect the power grid against such threats. He spoke to the U.S. House Intelligence Committee, and his comments marked the first time such a threat has been publicly acknowledged by the head of Cyber Command.
