Prepackaged LTS (long term storage) foods are convenient but expensive. One of the many survival rules are store what you eat, eat what you store. If your family doesn't eat or has an allergy to certain foods don't get stuck buying it in a prepackaged kit.
There are many videos on youtube that will help you store foods such as rice, oats, pasta ect. I do some storing of LTS foods such as the above. If anyone is interested in getting started I have a video on my channel that will give you an idea on how this process works.
Some pictures of items that I pack in cleaned cat litter buckets. I number the buckets and add the contents to a spread sheet instead of writing all over the bucket.
