Fall Canning Demonstration

Location: Town of Elma Pumpkin Festival

EMPact America joined the Pumpkin Festival in the town of Elma on Saturday, October 1, 2011. As a closing event to National Preparedness Month, we hosted a fall canning demonstration from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Village Green in Elma, New York.

EMPact America gave out copies of a recipe to can apples for baking and two handy canning references - one for canning vegetables, and one for canning fruit.
