A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure of meeting with a number of citizens in Angola, NY. The mayor, Hub Frawley, and Brant Town Supervisor, Lenny Pero, were instrumental in setting up this meeting in the New Angola Theater.

Earlier this week I had the opportunity to participate in an exercise with the Carlisle, PA Fire Department as our EMPact America PA Chapter was launched. A number of emergency responders, law enforcement people, government folks and concerned citizens attended. This town is the home of the US Army War College where an EMP Conference was held September 28 - 30 that was mentioned in another blog.

This past week we teleconferenced in to a meeting in Washington County Maryland. Members of the Association of Fire Chiefs had attended the “In the Dark” Conference at the Army War College and with some former knowledge of the issue, decided to put on an informational session. A number of the EMPact America group had the privilege of attending a 3-day exercise at the US Army War College in Carlisle, PA that dealt with planning for a catastrophic event affecting our critical infrastructure. A cross section of government, military, industry and private individuals attended and there were some extremely compelling and interesting presentations, discussions and courses of action.
