Several local groups have come together to host basic Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training. The West Seneca Office of Disaster Preparedness, the Town of Elma Office of Emergency Management, and EMPact America are sponsoring this training, which is free and open to all residents in WNY (14 years and up).

Weekday Evening Classes (Tuesday and Thursday) are being held May 15 through May 31, from 7 PM to 9 PM, a total of six 2-hour sessions.
